Muotoilun iltapäivä

Kaikille muotoilun parissa työskenteleville ja opiskeleville sekä alasta kiinnostuneille suunnatussa seminaarissa kolme alan ajankohtaista ammattilaista jakavat kokemuksiaan ja näkemyksiään muotoilun eri saralta. Muotoilun iltapäivä järjestetään keskiviikkona 1. lokakuuta kello 13-16 Werstaan auditoriossa, lähellä monia muita TAD Weekin tapahtumia ja näyttelyitä.

Tänä vuonna seminaarin aloittaa kreikkalainen muotoilija, taiteilija ja käsityöläinen Evita Stavrou, hänen puheenvuoronsa on englanniksi: Rigid Flexibility and the Butterfly Effect: Collective Creation in Craft and Nature.Evita Stavrou explores the paradox of rigid flexibility through modular origami and paper craft, where fragile units gain strength in repetition yet become unstable once a threshold is crossed. She reflects on collective creation as a process mirrored both in human collaboration and in natural systems—like honeycombs, bird flocks, or branching trees—that reveal how resilience depends on balance. Through the metaphor of the Butterfly Effect, she invites us to see how small actions ripple into larger transformations in craft, community, and beyond.

Maarit Kalmakurki: Virtuaalinen vaate – ekologinen ratkaisu?Luento käsittelee vaatteiden digitaalisia valmistusmenetelmiä pukusuunnittelun ekologisuuden näkökulmasta, sekä digipukusuunnittelun mahdollisuuksia virtuaaliympäristöissä.

Maria Jokela: The (Human)Nature of Fashion / Muodin (ihmis)luonto - Pohdintaa muodin suhteesta luontoon muotitaiteilijan näkökulmasta.

Tapahtuman järjestävät Pirkanmaan muotoilu- ja taideteollisuusyhdistys Modus ry ja DesignOnTampere ry ja se on osa vuotuista TAD week -tapahtumaviikkoa.

EN:In this seminar, which is aimed at everyone working and studying in the field of design, as well as those interested in the field, three current professionals will share their experiences and views on different areas of design. Design Afternoon will be held on Wednesday, October 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Werstas auditorium, close to many other TAD Week events and exhibitions.

Maarit Kalmakurki: Virtual clothing – an ecological solution?This lecture discusses digital clothing manufacturing methods from the perspective of ecological costume design, as well as the possibilities of digital costume design in virtual environments.

Maria Jokela: The (Human)Nature of Fashion – Reflections on the relationship between fashion and nature from the perspective of a fashion designer.

The event is organized by the Pirkanmaa Design and Arts Association Modus ry and DesignOnTampere ry and is part of the annual TAD week event.
